This song has been on my heart for a while now. It was sort of our youth camp's theme song this summer, and it's impacted my life in a great way. Sometimes we as human beings want to hold on to things, things that aren't sin, yet they hinder us. But Hebrews 12:1 says, "Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." There have been weights in my life I've had to give up recently. I didn't like it, but it's better to please God than chase after my own foolish ambitions. I hope this song encourages you, and please, pray about the areas in your life you haven't completely given to God. It's worth it.
